Mekićevica
A wild, undeveloped cove on the south coast. Rocky but with incredibly clear water. Popular with naturists and those seeking pure nature.
Zaraće
Actually two bays - Zaraće East and West. Both feature dramatic caves and overhangs. Great for snorkeling and cliff jumping.
Sveta Nedilja
A tiny village clinging to cliffs on the south coast. Famous for its wine cellars and the most dramatic scenery on the island.

Some of the best coves on this coast do not show up on Google Maps, and most visitors walk right past them. Ask your skipper which bays are sheltered that day, and arrive before 11am to have the beach to yourself.

Most of these beaches are only accessible by boat - that is what makes them so special. A few can be reached by long hikes, but the easiest way is by private boat or water taxi.
Which beach is best for swimming?
All of these beaches have excellent swimming conditions. Dubovica and Robinson Bay have the gentlest entry (pebble/sandy bottom), while others have rocky entries with ladders or platforms.
Are these beaches crowded?
These beaches see far fewer visitors than the town beaches. Visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon and you will often have them to yourself.
