Common Questions
When is the best time to visit the Blue Cave?
The Blue Cave is best visited between 11 AM and 1 PM when the sunlight reflects through the underwater opening, creating the famous aquamarine light. Our skippers time the arrival perfectly to catch this phenomenon.
How long does the Blue Cave tour take?
A typical Blue Cave tour from Hvar is a full-day trip (7-8 hours). It usually includes stops at Green Cave, Stiniva Cove, Budikovac Blue Lagoon, and lunch on Vis or Pakleni Islands.
Can we swim inside the Blue Cave?
Swimming is strictly prohibited inside the Blue Cave to protect its ecosystem and manage visitor flow. However, we take you to nearby Green Cave and other stunning spots where you can swim in equally beautiful waters.
Is the entrance fee included?
The entrance fee (approx. €12-18 depending on season) is usually paid directly at the ticket office on Biševo Island. Some private tours can arrange this in advance - ask your skipper.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The Blue Cave closes when the sea is too rough (high waves). If the cave is closed, we will inform you in the morning. We can either reschedule, offer a full refund, or suggest an alternative route (like the south side of Hvar) which is often sheltered.
